Green Tara Retreat
With Lopön Charlotte Rotterdam and Pieter Oosthuizen
December 7 - 10, 2017
Green Tara, the female Buddha, is one of the most popular meditative deities in Tibetan Buddhism. Known for providing protection from fears and obstacles, she sits with one foot in the meditative posture and one foot in the world, embodying active compassion and serving as a model for modern day contemplative life. In this retreat, you will learn the Green Tara practice from Ösel Dorje Sangdzö, the “Luminous Secret Vajra Treasury,” a terma (revealed treasure) of Adzom Drukpa. The retreat includes an oral transmission, a full explanation of the text and practice, and time for personal and group reflection so that this practice of compassion may be integrated in your daily life. No previous meditation experience or knowledge of Buddhism is necessary.
