Living Dharma Practitioner Program

The Living Dharma Practitioner Program is Tara Mandala’s summer residential internship designed for a handful of select Vajrayana practitioners to immerse themselves in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The Living Dharma Practitioner’s central role is holding and supporting the heart of the Tara Mandala practice community. Interns will learn and support daily morning and evening community practices, and will develop knowledge and skills in the Vajrayana ritual arts by mastering practices, instruments and ceremonies. They will maintain the beautiful Trikaya Tara Temple, dedicated to the sacred feminine and 21 Taras, and play a central role in supporting retreats by preparing the Temple, Stupa lighting ceremonies and retreat Tsogs. In addition to this central Temple and practice role, Interns will participate in a variety of teachings, have opportunities to deepen their individual practice, and “live” the Dharma through service, assisting the community in housekeeping, gardening, and kitchen support activities as needed.

Interns will develop knowledge and skills they integrate and share with their home Sanghas. They will have a rare opportunity to participate in the intensive weeklong Drupcho ceremony at Tara Mandala in July 2025.

The Living Dharma Practitioner Program internship begins late-May and goes until the end of September. A commitment of 2 months is requested, though shorter periods will be considered. This is an experienced based non-salaried Internship and includes 20-25 hours of weekly service.
