When collective wisdom feels distant and compassion rare, the path of awakening becomes both refuge and response. This foundational year weaves together Buddhism’s profound teachings with the sacred feminine, guiding you through ancient wisdom and transformative practices that awaken your innate capacity to meet life’s challenges with wisdom, grace, and an open heart.
The Path of Liberation
The Dharma is an ancient path to liberation. The Buddha offered not a set of religious beliefs but a path of meditative inquiry leading to ultimate freedom. What were the Buddha’s core teachings, and the important events in his life that led him on the path of awakening? And how do these teachings apply to our lives today? How did Buddhism develop and what were the meditation practices that were taught as it developed?
Why this course? Why now?
This foundational year of study and practice offers:
- Essential knowledge for anyone interested in exploring the Buddhist path
- Ancient wisdom for meeting difficult times with courage and compassion
- Practical tools for transforming anxiety into grounded, peaceful action
- A global community creating positive change through wisdom practices
A Complete Journey of Study & Practice
Led by Lama Tsultrim Allione, Dorje Lopon Chandra Easton, Dorje Lopon Charlotte Rotterdam, Tulku Osel Dorje, Lopon Karla Jackson and a team of expert guest teachers, you’ll discover the history, core teachings and practices of Buddhism in an accessible yet immersive format.
The program begins with an overview of the history, life and teachings of the Buddha, and instructions for establishing or deepening a meditation practice. Our studies will then focus on an exploration of the three “vehicles,” or three yanas:
- The Path of Renunciation (Sutrayana)
- The Path of Transformation (Mahayana)
- The Path of Innate Liberation (Vajrayana)
Culminating in the teachings of Dzogchen and Mahamudra, each course offers foundational teachings and specific practices related to each vehicle, featuring the wisdom of guest teachers from across Buddhist lineages.
Five Transformative Courses
Each course can be taken individually or as a complete journey.
