DHARMA FRIENDS Accessing Our Intuition

With Megan Mook, Kevin Townley and Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer MS

May 19, 2025

With Megan Mook, Kevin Townley and Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer MS

Dharma Friends is a monthly community gathering hosted by Megan Mook and Kevin Townley at Tibet House, NYC and Online. Each month features a specific Dharma theme with special guests including Buddhist teachers, artists, professors, comedians and musical guests.

Join Megan Mook, Kevin Townley and Lopön Karla Jackson Brewer for an exploration of the role of intuition on the spiritual path. Rather than a mystical gut feeling or a rejection of the rational, intuition is perhaps better understood as the synthesis of vast amounts of information that we have gleaned both consciously and unconsciously. As such, it is an expression of non-dual wisdom. Join us for a lively Dharma talk and community discussion, followed by a meditation into the sacred world of the dakinis as we learn to access our innate intuition.

This magical evening will end with innovative music by violinist duo 2VLA, who will explore sustained tone compositions to create a layered tapestry of sound and meditative experience.

2VLA is a viola duo featuring Rob Ward and Tess Jacobson. Their work explores sustained tone compositions that create richly layered tapestries of sound.

Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer, M.S. is a senior teacher at Tara Mandala where she has been practicing Chöd for over 30 years.
