With Tulku Ösel Dorje
Take the Wind Out of Fear and Suffering
Green Tara, revered as the embodiment of swift compassion in Tibetan Buddhism, is a female Buddha who offers immediate protection from our fears and suffering. She is ever-present and accessible to all who call upon her. With one foot in meditation and the other extended into the world, Green Tara exemplifies active compassion, serving as a model for integrating contemplative practice into our modern life.
Drawing from the profound lineage of the Treasury of Secret Vajra Luminosity (Ösel Dorje Sang Dzod), this concise Green Tara practice comes from the Dharma treasures (terma) of Adzom Drukpa, Drodul Pawo Dorje (1842–1924). This immersive retreat offers a direct path to connecting with Green Tara’s luminous wisdom and fearless compassion.
What to Expect:
In this retreat, you will receive the rarely bestowed Green Tara empowerment from this lineage, along with the unbroken reading transmission (Tib. Lung) and liberating instructions.
Participants will have the opportunity to deepen and enrich their practice by engaging with the core elements of tantric practice. These include deity visualization, mantra recitation, symbolic mudras, musical offerings, and feast offerings. Taken together these form the essential activities for all tantric practices.
Whether you are new to Green Tara practice or a seasoned practitioner, this retreat provides a unique and profound opportunity to deepen your understanding, strengthen your connection to the lineage, and cultivate the qualities of compassion, wisdom, and fearless action embodied by Green Tara.
