Tara Mandala warmly invites all students in the Ösel Nyingtig Lineage who have received the Tröma Nagmo Empowerment to join this special annual retreat. This year’s gathering will be dedicated to Tröma Nagmo’s profound practices, offering a deep immersion into her Secret Mandala. Together with those in the Magyu program, we will gather on the sacred land of Tara Mandala, honoring our shared commitment to uphold these vibrant, living streams of wisdom connected to the enlightened feminine.
In this retreat, Ösel Nyingtig students will receive The Special Instructions on the Exceedingly Secret Tröma, a profound transmission that reveals The Perfection of Secret Primordial Wisdom, the heart of our path. For those already practicing Tröma’s Secret Instructions, the Third Secret Instruction will be transmitted, to deepen their training in the realization of the non-dual Dharmakaya.
The inspiration for this gathering is to bring practitioners together to experience the blessings of Tröma Nagmo on the sacred land where all of these Dharma Treasures were revealed by the Terton king Orgyen Khakhyab Lingpa–Adzom Peylo Rinpoche. This is a rare occasion to practice in the wild following in the footsteps of all the Victorious Ones that came before us.
Those who make the pilgrimage to Tara Mandala will be given the opportunity to engage in the practice of dulzhug, which is a term used in Chöd practice meaning ‘vanquishing conduct’ or ‘yogic conduct.” Through a supported overnight practice session, students who have received Tröma’s Practice of Severance or any other Chöd practice, will venture out underneath the star-filled sky on the blessed Ekajati peak to elevate the energy of their practice.
During this retreat participants will also receive the special Nature of Mind teachings from Lama Tsultrim. In these occasions, Magyu and Ösel Nyingtig practitioners will gather as one large Sangha, while other sessions will be dedicated specifically to Ösel Nyingtig teachings and practice.
What is the Vision?
- This retreat will provide an opportunity for Ösel Nyingtig students practicing Tröma Nagmo to come together to cultivate community. Throughout the five days of this gathering, there will be practices, teachings, community councils, and discussions.

- The retreat will close with an auspicious Tsog Feast, with spontaneous poetry of realization and songs of inspiration.
