Clearing Obstacles for the New Year PARTY with DHARMA FRIENDS

With Megan Mook, Kevin Townley and Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer MS

January 27, 2025

Dharma Friends is a monthly community gathering hosted by Megan Mook and Kevin Townley at Tibet House, NYC and Online. Each month features a specific Dharma theme with special guests including Buddhist teachers, artists, professors, comedians and musical guests.

OUR ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY, featuring guest teacher Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer, kicks off a 3 month cycle of themed meditations and teachings, focusing on transforming obstacles into assets through Feeding Your Demons and other related practices. Participants can drop in at any point during the 3 month cycle, or attend all 3 events and deepen their practice consecutively.

In this special event, Lopön Karla Jackson Brewer will perform a live Chöd ritual — sung in Tibetan and accompanied by traditional instruments, to help us clear obstacles for the New Year. To celebrate an exuberant year of Dharma and art, Dharma Friends is thrilled to host legendary spoken word poet Bob Holman and musician Lucy Wainwright Roche.

Join us for this extra special celebration!
