CNNR Chod Daylong Practice Intensive

With Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer, M.S.

January 25, 2025

Have you been practicing Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche (CNNR) Chöd and are encountering some challenges?

Devoted Chöd practitioner Lopön Karla Jackson-Brewer will offer a special opportunity for seasoned and brand new Chöd practitioners to receive support in their practice, ask questions, and receive advice with helpful tips and reinforcement.

In the words of a prior participant, “Karla offered the Chöd [daylong] retreat with great skill, passion and confidence. It inspired me to start this beautiful practice.”

In this daylong retreat you will have the opportunity to:

  • Receive direct support on chöd drumming patterns used for CNNR Chöd practice.
  • Learn how to take care and provide maintenance for your practice implements.
  • Receive feedback on CNNR Chöd melodies.

Who Should Attend?

  • This daylong intensive is an opportunity for CNNR Chöd practitioners to receive one-on-one feedback and answers to practical questions.
  • This retreat is open to all practitioners who already know and have received teachings and transmission of this CNNR Chöd practice. Therefore no introductory instruction will be provided during this retreat.

To prepare for this retreat, you will need:

  • A Bell, Dorje (Vajra), Kangling, and Chöd drum. These implements are available through our Dakini Store. Note: it is not required that you have these items upon attending the retreat, however, eventually they are necessary to do the full practice.
  • Your list of all the challenges, questions, and concerns you are encountering as you practice Chöd.
  • Optional: To enhance your practice, we have curated a special collection for this retreat with items from our Dakini Store. See our Chöd Bundle here.
