The Four Immeasurables: Awakening the Heart of Enlightenment (Retreat in Colorado)

With Dorje Gyaltsab Tulku Ösel Dorje

June 23 - 28, 2023

“For as long as space remains, for as long as sentient beings remain, so long may I remain for the alleviation of the suffering of the world.”

-Shantideva

Tara Mandala invites you to join Tulku Ösel Dorje in a nurturing and immersive in-person retreat in Colorado. Embark on a powerful inner journey with simple yet extraordinary practices to develop genuine care and compassion for ourselves and for all beings. Tonglen, the practice of sending and receiving, is one of the most profound and powerful Buddhist teachings for rooting out self-clinging and grasping that lie at the source of our suffering.

In this retreat, you will:

  • Be introduced to the practices of Tonglen (sending & receiving), a practice whereby the breath becomes the support for relieving suffering of others through offering happiness and well-being in exchange.
  • Learn how to cultivate the Four Immeasurables (Loving-kindness, Compassion, Equanimity, Sympathetic Joy) via practical and inspiring meditation practices that were developed by Lama Tsultrim Allione to help develop a greater capacity to integrate the Four Immeasurables into your daily lives.
  • Strengthen your altruistic motivation by equalizing and exchanging yourself for others, and discover the power of the Bodhisattva’s path; the mind of enlightenment.
  • Receive support on how to incorporate these profound teachings into your daily life via teachings, guided meditations and discussion sessions.

Who Can Attend?
This retreat is open to all. No prior meditation experience required.

To prepare for your visit, we invite you to read our information on Tara Mandala’s Safety Protocols for In-Person Retreats.
