Jeffrey Tipp was ordained as a monk in an order of Christian mystics in 1968, entered the into Dharma with Lama Tsultrim Allione in 1973, met Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1978, and founded  Blue Heron Zen Community, an urban residential Zen Center in Seattle, in 1980. He received Inka from Zen Master Ji Bong in 2006, and permission to teach from Lama Tsultrim in 2010. He is a Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice and lives with his wife Roberta in Sebastopol, CA. Jeff and Roberta both have a Skype video therapy practice with clients who are at a distance as well as offering trainings and workshops around the United States and Mexico.
