The level of support we need for our mental and emotional health is not always the same. Sometimes we simply need a hug. Sometimes a deep dive into therapy. Often a mix of many approaches is beneficial.
Tara Mandala is here for you all. May some of these offerings and approaches below help instill greater care in your mental health.

Heart-Opening Meditation

Meditating on the well-being of ourselves and others promotes happiness and healing. While the first wave of Buddhism (known as Sutrayana) is based more on the Buddha’s teachings, the second wave of Buddhism (known as Mahayana) focuses more on awakening the heart (Bodhicitta).
Two fundamental meditations in Mahayana are The Four Immeasurables and Tonglen. The Four Immeasurables expand our capacity to open to others, and Tonglen extends profound generosity to all beings.

The Practice of Feeding Your Demons®

Feeding Your Demons (FYD) is a process that helps us recognize and transform what is depleting our mental and emotional well-being. Lama Tsultrim Allione developed FYD out of the richness of Tibetan Buddhist practice, making it more accessible to all.
In the FYD process our challenges are our demons, and the powerful source we transform them into are our allies.

The FYD Online Course can be taken to work with your personal demons. It is also possible to become certified in FYD, so you can offer it to others in a therapeutic setting with clients. This August we begin our next online courses for FYD Level I and II.
