With this event Lama Tsultrim Allione launches “Dakini Wisdom”, a multi-lineage collaboration seeking to enhance the understanding of the sacred feminine as expressed through Buddhism’s female heritage, the feminine principle of wisdom, female deities, and the Dakinis themselves. This talk will go over the history of women and the feminine principle in Buddhism with broad strokes and then dive into some specific Dakini stories and touch on sacred sexuality as transmitted through the stories of Dakinis. “Dakini Wisdom” workshops will be held all over the country during the next two years, culminating in the “Dakini Wisdom” Conference in July 2016 at Tara Mandala.

“More than just a conference, we are igniting a movement!”

Hosted by New York Shambhala Center, Brooklyn Zen Center and the Interdependence Project, and women teachers from various Buddhist sanghas in the New York area.
