Kapala Training Level I offers an in-depth exploration into the practice lineage of the 11th century Tibetan yogini, Machig Labdrön, and the related nature of mind teachings of Prajna Paramita, the Great Mother. Inspired by the ancient practice of Chöd, “Feeding Your Demons” is a five-step process created by Lama Tsultrim Allione that allows one to offer compassion and understanding to their own inner demons rather than engaging in battle and struggle with them. This develops the potential for deep healing and allows the psyche to move from polarization toward integration. This process is of great benefit when working with a wide variety of both personal and collective demons, including addictions, physical and mental illnesses, fear, anger, relationship challenges, and other dilemmas of modern life.

The retreat will alternate between the demon work and meditation and teachings on the nature of mind based on the Great Mother Prajna Paramita, the matrix of awareness.  During the retreat, numerous modalities will be used to facilitate the creative exploration of this process such as dyad and group sharing, drawing, clay work, and hands-on practice.

This training is for individuals who wish to work in an intensive way with their own inner demons. In addition, this retreat is the first step for licensed healing professionals who want to become certified to use this process with others. Kapala Training Level II offers this official certification.
