We are overjoyed to announce that His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Urgyen Trinley, will bestow the Chöd Empowerment of Machig Labdrön from the Rinchen Trengwa and offer two days of teachings on related commentaries by the 3rd Karmapa Rangjung Dorje.
This auspicious event will take place October 26-28, 2012 near Dharamsala, India. This is the first time in this lifetime that His Holiness has given this empowerment and these teachings.
His Holiness has requested that only serious practitioners attend the event. There will be limited seating and preference will be given to those with the best preparation for such teachings, i.e. serious vajrayana practitioners, and those who register first. You will be notified of your approval status within three weeks of submitting your registration. Please be aware there will be security at the event, bring only a small bag, no cameras or metal objects. Closer to the date the exact location for the registration and the event will be announced.
This event is occurring at the behest of Lama Tsultrim Allione and Tara Mandala is the sponsor for the event. There is no charge for the event, although there is an opportunity to help sponsor the event and to give toward the travel and lodging of Himalayan nuns wishing to attend.
All those attending must register and receive a confirmation email with further instructions.
Due to the large numbers of people registering for this event, we ask that you do not contact Tara Mandala for other details or unless you have not received your confirmation email after three weeks from registering. All information as it becomes available will be posted in this program page. Each person is responsible for their own travel, food, and lodging arrangements.
