New! Yogini Yoga and Dzog Chen Meditation - A Women's Retreat This will be the first Western teaching from Gebchak Wangdrak Rinpoche III, the teacher of Tibet's 340 great yoginis from Gebchak Gompa as seen in Victress Hitchcock's film Blessings. In a unique offering, Gebchak Rinpoche has agreed to teach the initial stages of the yogini tradition's nature of mind teachings. This retreat is for women practitioners only. Rinpoche will share teachings from the Gebchak tradition, in particular their way of pointing out Buddha nature, and the first step to their unique version of Ratna Lingpa’s Six Yogas adapted for the female form. |
Lama Tsultrim Teaches Two Kapala Trainings Level I in 2010: Kapala Training Level I Kapala Training Level I Deeply explore the practice lineage of eleventh-century Tibetan yogini Machig Labdrön and the related Mahayana teachings of prajña paramita, or “the great mother”—our own true nature. Ideal for individuals wishing to work deeply with their “demons” through contemplative practice, this retreat offers a simple yet profound five-step method based on Machig Labdrön’s understanding that it is through nurturing—not fighting—our inner demons that we finally overcome them. In this way, we go beyond dualistic struggles, engaging our addictions, illnesses, fears, difficult relationships, self-hatred, and collective ills with compassion and wisdom. We will particularly focus on open-eyed sky-gazing prajña paramita practice, mixing awareness with space; licensed health professionals will learn to apply this work to their professional practices, and CEUs are available for this course. Whatever you’re struggling with, this therapeutic process will transform your relationship with your demons and end the fight once and for all. Feeding Your Demons Weekend Retreat

The Great Mother Prajña Paramita & Sky-like Mind This retreat will explore the nature of mind. The experience of prajña, the capacity to perceive the ineffable vastness of basic space, is what gives birth to all the Buddhas. This vast clarity, full of compassion, is the Great Mother. Through meditation and relaxed dialogue we will explore this theme experientially. |
The Dzinpa Rangdröl, a terma cycle focused around the Great Mother and Machig Labdrön from Do Kyentse, is being offered at Tara Mandala for the first time in the West. This retreat will have three concurrent streams: Ngondro, White Dakini, and Tsa Lung.
