Tara Mandala has the wonderful challenge of retreat attendance doubling contrary to expectations due to the economy. This August we are also holding our first Drub Chen, an elaborate Vajrayana Ceremony, so we are finding we need more help. Volunteer and paid positions are available. Below are some specific areas where we need assistance. |
- Retreat Manager
This is a full time position handling many aspects of retreat planning and management.
We are looking for a detail orientated, efficient individual with good people skills. Experience in management, event planning, and communications are strongly preferred. Job description and application details.
- General volunteers through the end of October
We are currently accepting applications for summer staff positions for Summer 2009. Our intention for summer staff is to provide a place where people can incorporate their Dharma practice into their work and lives. In contrast to spending a short time doing a retreat, this is an opportunity to bring the Dharma into life in community. Complete details and application.
- White Dakini Drub Chen experienced volunteers between August 13 – September 5
For the first time in the West a Drub Chen (Great Accomplishment Ceremony) of the White Dakini practice from Do Khyentse’s Dzinpa Rangdröl (Self-Liberation from Fixation) treasure cycle will be performed. Experienced volunteers are needed to assist in all aspects of preparation. Discounts or complementary participation in the retreat are possible, dependent on experience and time offered. Please contact Devon at devon@taramandala.org with detailed experience, time available, and work history. Detailed Drub Chen information.
- Assistant Temple Painters (Volunteer position)
