Retreat Land and Office
IMPORTANT NOTE: Unless attending a retreat, all visits to the land must be cleared through the office first. We cannot allow visitors during closed retreats and we lock the gate in the off-season, so please call first!

Please also note that the roads leading into Tara Mandala are rough dirt roads. Take your time and enjoy the drive.

Driving through Pagosa Springs on Highway 160, turn South on S. 8th Street which runs between the downtown City Market and the library. At the first stop sign, turn right onto Apache. Apache becomes Trujillo Road (also known as County Road 500), which you follow 10 miles south of town past the city landfill.
When you see a red metal barn with a bright tin roof on the left, turn right on Forest Service Road #649 and cross a cattle guard.
Proceed 3.8 miles and take the second left into Tara Mandala which is marked with a green sign reading 4000/4000A. Prayer flags and buildings will be visible in the distance.
Proceed up into the parking lot.
